Rebuilding journal search again
We're having to rebuild the search server again (previously, previously). It will take a few days to reindex all the content.

Meanwhile search services should be running, but probably returning no results or incomplete results for most queries.

I*m absolutely heartbroken to hear that Val Kilmer has passed! I'm going to marathon his movies as a way to commandeer him.

And you, dear Mun, should join me! Then you'll know some of my references and pull them off better.

I don't like that idea of yours. Or the fact that you have me all "weh but what if being a training dummy was better" in the meme place.

[A beat, then:]

Everything else is fine though! Keep doing that stuff instead!!!

Vicissitudes of fate [Voicetesting]
What was it Plutarch said? "Fate leads him who follows it, and drags him who resists."

[He takes a moment to remove his glasses, cleaning off a smudge.]

See, the Greeks viewed fate as inescapable. Our lives laid out as thread by the Moirai, the three sisters, measured and cut regardless of what we chose to do.

[A slight pause as he replaces the glasses, and a slight, mirthless smile.]

I've always defied the fate that has been assigned to me. Time and again, people have laid out my thread and tried to cut it, ever since I was a kid.

Even if it's real, I refuse to be measured by the small. Those with petty minds and foolish ambitions. So if you're going to do this, really do this - remember you won't be the one making the decisions. Not really.

I'll make my own thread is this new, wider universe, thanks.
